The southern side of the house will be in colorbond steel - "corrugated iron" as we called it when in the 1950's and 1960's we used this roofing on chicken sheds not houses!! On hot days folding doors can be opened on both sides of the walkway from the courtyard to reveal a southern balcony and the view to the mountains.
